Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the film producers are now planning to release their movies directly on OTT platforms. Holding the releases for months will increase the interest rates and eventually push producers in losses. Moreover, there is no clarity on when the theaters will get reopened. Thus, a few producers are now opting for digital release. Already, Amazon Prime Video has announced that seven films are releasing on its platform in the next two months. Now, we hear that Rana Daggubati's upcoming film Aranya is also looking for an OTT release. If the latest grapevine is anything to go by, Aranya will stream on Netflix soon.
According to the sources, the makers of Aranya were in talks with Netflix for a long time. Apparently, the deal got stuck and the preparations are being made to release it online soon. The makers will officially reveal the details soon on social media.

The Hindi version features Pulkit Samrat in another lead role. The same role got reprised by Vishnu Vishal in the Telugu and Hindi versions. The story of the film revolves around how deforestation is affecting the life of elephants in a forest. The film was actually supposed to hit the screens on April 2nd but it got postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
