Just the other day, director Luv Ranjan surprised fans by releasing the initials of the new movie, TJMM, which stars Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor. The director has now revealed the movie's title as Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. The creators also published a teaser along with this announcement.
The teaser video only gives us a few character clues. But judging by the lead actors' characters, it appears like Shraddha Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor portray girl-and-boy-next-door with a twist in the movie. The teaser appears colourful as the actors are seen sharing "over-the-top" flying kisses.
A source said, “It is said that the film’s title is Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. Luv Ranjan is known for quirky titles like Pyaar Ka Punchnama (2011) and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (2018) when it comes to his directorial ventures. Hence, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar goes with the Luv Ranjan tradition of having titles that excite viewers as much as the film’s trailer and songs.”
The movie will unite Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor on the big screen for the first time. It has generated a lot of buzz on its own. Ranbir recently remarked at the Red Sea International Film Festival that this would likely be his final romantic comedy as he is getting older.
The movie is set to release on March 8, 2023, on Holi.
