For Ranbir Kapoor and his fans, attending the Red Sea International Film Festival was a very memorable experience. This film festival started on December 1 and runs through December 10. It is taking place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He was welcomed by many fans and well-wishers as soon as he set foot on the high-profile event's grounds.
A journalist at the event questioned him about his long-term professional goals. Ranbir Kapoor said, “I have always wanted to direct and make a movie. But I’ve really not mastered the courage to write a story. I have always waited for a story to come to me naturally. But the f*** up is that I’m not a writer, and I’m really shy when it comes to sharing my ideas with other people. But I’m working on it, and it’s something that is in my ten-year plan: To start directing movies and hopefully act in them too.”
The journalist questioned if Kapoor has any immediate plans to enter Hollywood. "I'd never say never. But I'm generally satisfied with the options that are presented to me in my native language." The Barfi actor made it clear that he does experience mental obstacles when acting in English. "Since it comes naturally to me, I'd prefer to behave in my native tongue. Never say never, though," he added.
Ranbir Kapoor is currently working on a few different projects. Two movies with 2023 release dates will include Kapoor as the lead. The first is a Shraddha Kapoor-starring movie. Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is his upcoming second movie.
