Brahmastra, directed by Ayan Mukerji and starring Ranbir Kapoor's wife, actress Alia Bhatt, plus Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna, is now preparing for release. The epic Brahmstra Part One: Shiva, which was produced by Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Prime Focus, and Starlight Pictures, will hit theaters on September 9, 2022, in the languages of Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. The husband-and-wife team of Ranbir and Alia are doing everything in their power to promote the movie; most recently, they paid a promotional visit to IIT Bombay.
Ranbir explained what sets his persona, Shiva, apart from his other characters during the promotional event. He stated: "Shiva has a personality that I truly admire, and he says in the movie, "Jab Bhi Kuch andhera ho toh light ko dhundho," which basically means to "Light uss Roshni ka Naam hai" when applied to human beings. Or this light, aap kaha dhundte ho? Ek achi film mein, Alia mein, canteen ki omelette pav mein, apni doston ki hassi mein. In these trying times, I believe in the concept of optimism. The world is filled with a lot of negativity. I believe that Shiva actively seeks goodness and light."
Brahmastra is meant to be the first installment in a trilogy that will be a part of the "Astraverse," a fictional cinematic universe. The movie is being presented in all four languages by director SS Rajamouli. The voice of Chiranjeevi may be heard in the Brahmastra trailer in Telugu.
In addition, Ranbir will appear in Luv Ranjan's upcoming, untitled movie starring Shraddha Kapoor. The movie will open in theaters on March 8, 2023, the day before Holi. Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal, which also features Anil Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna in significant parts, is another film starring the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actor.
