Shamshera, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Vaani Kapoor, and Sanjay Dutt, will open in theatres in just ten days. The movie's character posters, trailer, and songs have already generated a ton of interest. The actors are appearing in public and engaging with the media as they move about promoting the movie.
Ranbir Kapoor claimed that his late father Rishi Kapoor had cautioned him about filmmaker Karan Malhotra of the film Shamshera. Rishi Kapoor also starred in Agneepath, which was also directed by Karan Malhotra for the uninitiated.
Ranbir recalled his father's advice, "Tu bahut pachtayega," and added, "Yes, and he had warned me. Karan Malhotra bahut hard taskmaster hai. Bahut saare takes leta hai. Bada tadpata hai. So, be ready’! (You will suffer. Karan Malhotra is a hard taskmaster. Makes you do too many takes)."
However, Ranbir emphasized that if you see the finished result on a large screen, it would all be worth it. "Everything is worthwhile after we see the movie. But making this movie was a nightmare. For myself, Vaani, and the three of us, it was the film that physically drained us the most. Dust had covered us. In Mumbai's hottest days of July, we were filming while dressed in wool. I also maintained a full beard. We had to take some sort of action. So, it was quite difficult, Ranbir said to the portal.
On July 22, 2022, Shamshera, which has been produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by Karan Malhotra, will be released in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi.
