Ever since the Russo Brothers announced their upcoming film titled Extraction, Indian fans are more than excited. The film has shot a majority portion of its scenes in Ahmedabad. It also stars Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda in a pivotal role. The film's lead is played by Chris Hemsworth aka Thor.
Now in an interview with India Today,
Randeep Hooda has revealed that he has rejected many Hollywood films before agreeing to do Extraction. Speaking about his ethics as an actor he said, "I have been offered Hollywood franchise movies earlier but I felt that the character was being ridiculed, or is a stereotypical portrayal of the subcontinent. So, I respectfully declined."
He also said that no actor is really the lead in a film as they are all doing their jobs. " Now, that's a very Indian way of saying it - parallel lead. Each actor plays a character which contributes to the film at large. We always look at it as woh usko kha gaya, when in fact we're both doing our jobs, " he added.
Randeep Hooda is set to appear next in
Prabhu Deva 's upcoming film Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. The film stars
Salman Khan in the lead role. Hooda also said that he has finished his portions for the film but there are still some scenes left to shoot for. He added saying, "Well, it looks like it. I had finished shooting my portion but given the situation, postponing the release seems like the only option until theatres open."
