Rani Mukerji Believes It's Crucial To Teach Her Daughter Adira That She Is Not Special And To Keep Her Away From The Paparazzi

On Kareena Kapoor's YouTube discussion show What Women Want, the former co-stars Rani Mukerji and Kareena Kapoor recently reconnected. The actresses discussed motherhood and their kids in the episode. They had previously collaborated in Mujhse Dosti Karoge (2002). Rani also discussed how she avoided having paparazzi take pictures of her eight-year-old daughter Adira Chopra. She said she and her husband, the director Aditya Chopra, are private individuals. She also wants to make sure Adira understands that she is nothing special having the media attention.

When Rani made an appearance on the fourth episode of What Women Want, she discussed keeping Adira's upbringing normal while she attends school. This includes shielding her young kid from the paparazzi as she leaves the house. The paparazzi continually follow Taimur Ali Khan, age 6, and Jehangir Ali Khan, age 2, whenever they go with their parents, actor Saif Ali Khan, who is Kareena's husband.

When Kareena questioned Rani about the superpower she and Aditya used to fend off the media, Rani responded, "No, superpower. I just very sweetly tell them, please don't take baby's photos and they don't. They are very sweet. And they have been like this right from the very beginning. Because they know Adi is a private person, I'm a private person."

She continued, "For me, it was very important for Adira to have a normal upbringing in school. Because already there is so much attention that a child normally gets when you are a child of famous parents. It was important for me to make Adira realize she isn't special because of who she is born to. She has to make herself special with what she would do in life."

Rani further disclosed in the interview that she must continuously request time with Adira. She revealed that she must follow her from behind like a fan. Adira then politely requests some "me time." She admitted to Kareena that Aditya had taught her this idea.

Rani appeared in the drama Mrs. Chatterjee Vs. Norway recently. The movie, which was directed by Ashima Chibber, also stars Jim Sarbh, Anirban Bhattacharya, and Neena Gupta.
