Rashmika dubs in Kannada for Dear Comrade
Vijay Devarakonda and Rashmika Mandanna are on a music tour across South India to promote their upcoming release, Dear Comrade and they kick started it in Bangalore today. 'Dear Comrade has amazing music and we want to celebrate it with all my comrades (denoting the fans),' says the actor, who added that he was happy to have actor Yash of KGF fame joining the celebrations.
The makers also launched the Kannada trailer at the event. Post that, Vijay said that the film won't be having a Hindi dubbed version. "Dear Comrade is a film that, I believe, is more suited to the southern region because of geography and culture. The film is based in a small town and is rooted in the South Indian culture."
He added, "India is a country, which actually has 20 countries within it if we take into account the culturally, physically, and language differences. It is a magic that we function as one nation."
Vijay also clarified that Dear Comrade will be remade in Hindi and an announcement will be made regarding that soon.
Rashmika Mandanna is happy to have dubbed her portions for the Kannada version of Dear Comrade. "The minute I heard that the Telugu film will be dubbed and released in three other languages, I told them that I want to dub for my portions in Kannada," says Rashmika, adding, "Dear Comrade will feel more like a direct Kannada film to all my Karnataka fans. The film is very close to my heart, and I am happy that it's getting a Kannada version too."
