Mass Raja Ravi Teja and director Gopichand Malineni have teamed up for the first time for the 2010 film Don Seenu. The duo had collaborated for the second time for the 2013 film Balupu. This action entertainer remained as one of the biggest hits in Ravi Teja's career. Today, the film completes seven years of its release. On this special occasion, here is a look back into it.

 
Balupu featured Shruti Haasan and Anjali as the female leads. It traces the story of Ravi who works in Bengaluru. Over the course of time, it gets revealed that he has a deadly past in Vizag where he used to be a powerful don. The life of Ravi and his transformation into a good man form the main crux of the film. Prakash Raj, Adivi Sesh and Ashutosh Rana played the other important roles in the movie.
 
The music of Balupu composed by Thaman. Songs like Kajal Chelliva, Evaindho and Pathikella Chinnadi remained at the top of the charts at that time. Popular actress Lakshmi Raai danced for a special song in the movie. Prasad V Potluri bankrolled Balupu under the banner PVP Cinema. Upon its release, the film received a unanimous positive response from the audiences and remained a blockbuster at the box office.
 
After a gap of seven years, Ravi Teja, Shruti Haasan, Gopichand Malineni and Thaman teamed up for a new film called Krack. This movie is aiming for a release towards the end of this year.
