Regarding Larger-Than-Life Films' Box Office Success, Rajkummar Rao Says:

For his upcoming movie Hit: The First Case along with Sanya Malhotra, Rajkummar Rao is busy in production. His most recent film, Badhaai Do have received positive feedback from the crowd. The actor recently discussed a specific film genre that appears to be successful at the box office in an interview with India Today. South Indian movies like Pushpa, KGF 2, and now Vikram appears to have dominated the box office in recent months.

Rajkummar remarked on how these blockbuster action thrillers were winning over the public, adding, "No one knows the recipe of a hit film; you just have to keep trying and then leave it to fate. I haven't really studied why South Indian movies are successful; maybe it's because they're good movies and the efforts paid off. However, I think that the film industry goes through several phases. At one point, we were filming songs in Switzerland, then we switched to presenting tales about little towns, and now it's time for the larger-than-life cinema that the South has to offer.

The Newton actor acknowledges that his priorities are elsewhere. But as an actor, Rajkummar said, "I like to work on movies that I can be proud of, not necessarily successful movies. I can continue to tell stories as long as my producers don't suffer a loss of money. I would rather do movies that I can be proud of. I'm not interested in sticking to a herd. It's alright if my movies don't get Rs 100 crore at the box office."

Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra will be seen together in his forthcoming movie Hit: The First Case, in which they play detectives. The movie is scheduled to hit the theatres on July 15, 2022.
