Chakri was one of the most popular music composers in the Telugu film industry. He rose to stardom in the 2000s and continued to give super hit albums till 2015. Chakri passed away in December 2014. Chakri was born in Mahabubabad city of Warangal district. He made his feature film debut with the 2000 comedy entertainer Bachi. This film got directed by Puri Jagannath. Since then, he was a frequent collaborator with Puri. Both of them worked together for many films.
During the early 2000s, Chakri went on to give super hit albums for the films like Itlu Shravani Subrahmanyam, Avunu Vallidharu Ishtapaddaru, Idiot, Amma Nanna Oo Tamilammayi, Satyam, Andhrawala, 143 and Chakram. He won Filmfare Award as Best Singer for the film Satyam. Even in the second half of the 2000s, he gave hit albums for the movies like Devadasu, Desamuduru, Krishna, Nenithe, Maska, Gopi Gopika Godavari, Simha and Golimaar. Chakri's last film was the 2016 movie Vennelo Hai Hai, directed by Vamsi.
Chakri breathed his last on the 15th of December 2014. Obesity and the related ailments caused the death of him. The doctors confirmed that he had a heart attack. Chakri's sudden demise came in as a shocker to the entire Tollywood. Even though he is not in the world right now, his music is carrying his legacy forward.
