Response to Timothée Chalamet’s outfit for the 2020 Oscars

Timothée Chalamet known to be a fashion icon showed up at the 2020 Oscars in an outfit that raised some questionable reactions.

Chalamet wore a tracksuit by Prada accessorized with a 1955 Cartier brooch.

Male celebrities don't have much to choose between a suit or tux with a slight difference in style. Yet, he has tried some unconventional award looks altogether. From a harness to Louis Vuitton hoodie to a Haider Ackermann suit. People have been more accepting of his previous choices than his recent one.

disappointed quite a handful of people who had followed his style over the years. The reaction to his outfit reminded people of Frank Ocean in Met Gala 2019. Ocean turned up wearing a "white shirt, black tie, cropped wide-leg black trousers, chunky black boots, and a Prada anorak" writes InsiderHook.

It was the incompatibility of the setting and outfit choice that invited many frowns. Red carpet, be it the Met Gala or the Oscars are characteristic of their fixed dress code. While it is bold to experiment, Chalamet and Ocean seem to have taken it too far. Chalamet is also known for being one of the celebrities who doesn't consult a stylist and chooses to flaunt his own put together outfits.
