Revisiting Sonam Kapoor's career as she turns 35 today; Xappie Birthday Sonam Kapoor

Sonam Kapoor is one of the popular actresses in Bollywood. Right from her first film Saawariya to the recent one The Zoya Factor, Sonam has given some memorable performances in her career. Today, this Kapoor girl turns 35. On this occasion, let us dig back into her career.

Sonam Kapoor is the daughter of actor Anil Kapoor and Sunita Kapoor. Being brought up in a filmy family made Sonam get attracted to the industry. Eventually, she chose it as her profession. She debuted into the film industry by working as an assistant director to Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the film Black. Ranbir Kapoor was also an assistant director for that film. Eventually, Sanjay introduced both of them as lead actors in his next film Saawariya. Though this film was a failure at the box office, it brought wide fame to Sonam. She became a heartthrob for the audiences.

Sonam's second film was Delhi-6. Even this was a commercial failure. She received her first success with the 2010 film I Hate Luv Storys. After that, Sonam had to wait for another three years to score her second success with the 2013 film Raanjhanaa. Later, she continued the hit-streak with Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Bewakoofiyan and Khoobsurat. It was the 2016 film Neerja which brought Sonam a lot of acclaims. She also won many awards for that film. IN the recent past, Sonam acted in Pad Man, Veere Di Wedding, Sanju, and The Zoya Factor. We wish her a very happy birthday and hope she comes up with many more special films in the future.
