Rishab Shetty said, "I was then a nobody with no film to show as my work. But I decided to try anyway and when Appu sir agreed to launch the trailer, it was no less than the feeling of having won the lottery. He just knew how much it meant to a newcomer… ever so generous and kind to everyone who went to him with such requests. I have never heard of him saying no to anyone. If he wasn’t shooting, Appu sir would always do anything to help newcomers and lend them his support. Trailer launch, music launch, singing a song or giving bytes…he was so giving. He made my day that day."
