Rishi Kapoor took to twitter to comment on the rising pollution levels in Delhi. The image he shared read “ Breathlessness, palpitation, moist eyes…You’re either in love or in Delhi..” The national capital covered with a thick blanket of smog with bare minimum visibility and air quality dipping in large numbers. The situation is severe and hazardous and the Environmental Pollution (Prevention and Control) Authority (EPCA) has declared a public health emergency due to the same. An AQI between 0-50 considered as "good", 51-100 "satisfactory", 101-200 "moderate", 20 -300 "poor", 301-400 "very poor", and 401-500 "severe". Above 500 is the "severe-plus emergency" category. Delhi is currently above 600 according to some reports and according to others, it is possible between 800-900.
To deal with this situation, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP government in Delhi has announced the implementation of the Odd-Even scheme from November 4 to 15, 2019. The air quality situation has even caused the diversion of at least 37 flights at the Delhi Airport on Sunday morning.
