Rohit Shetty is one of the most sought-after directors of Bollywood. With back to back hits, his every film is eagerly looked upon by the audience. The action director is famous for showcasing some of the best actions in his film. But sometimes he's also criticised for going overboard with it. Opening up about it in an interview with Filmy Companion, Rohit Shetty said that Hollywood action doesn't receive flak for its unbelievable action, unlike the Bollywood films. “ Where the action is there, everybody goes over-the-top,” Rohit said, adding that everyone likes Hollywood films for the same unbelievable action scenes. “In Fast & Furious, Jason Statham literally pushes a missile. Everyone praised it. In Fast & Furious 8, Dwayne ‘ The Rock’ Johnson lightly brushes a missile aside, ” he said.
He added, "Have you watched the promo of Fast & Furious 9? Vin Diesel’s car swung from one cliff to another with the support of just one cable)." A few days back, Rohit Shetty got into a controversy when he unintentionally passed a sexist comment about Katrina Kaif. He almost said that no one would look at Katrina Kaif when three male actors are performing a stunt. However, Katrina came out in his rescue and cleared the air. She sided with Rohit and said that he did not mean it like that. She wrote, Dear Friends and well-wishers... I normally do not comment on media reports or articles... But in this case, I feel a comment made by Rohit sir has been taken out of context and is being entirely misunderstood. I am referring to the comment as reported that Rohit Shetty said, ‘No one would look at me in the frame, as there are three boys there and a blast happening’, this is not what was said."
