RRR Update: Release date of Ram Charan and NTR starrer to be pushed; confirms producer DVV Danayya

RRR or Roudram Ranam Rudhiram is S S Rajamouli's next big-budget project after his Baahubali franchise. The film has a stellar cast with Ram Charan and Jr NTR playing lead roles. It is one of the most anticipated films. The film was scheduled to hit the theaters in July. However, a new release date was set in February. It was then decided that the fill will hit the theaters on 8th January 2021. This too seems a far fetched dream. The film's producer DVV Danayya has now said that it is nearly impossible to meet the release date with the current situation.

With the current coronavirus lockdown, the RRR team is working from home. Even with them working to meet the release date (8th Jan 2021), it seems like it is bound to get postponed.

'Nearly 70 % of the shooting formalities of RRR have been completed. Our team is ready to shoot with a limited crew if the government gives necessary permissions. Since the VFX works need a considerable amount of time, a Sankranthi release is not possible,' says producer Danayya.

There are also rumours of the film hitting the theatres on 28th April 2021. However, an official announcement is yet to arrive.

SS Rajamouli's RRR a massive film being made on a large scale budget. The lead actors Jn NTR and Ram Charan will be taking on the roles of fighters in the historical drama. Jn NTR will play Komaram Bheem and Ram Charan will play Alluri Sitarama Raju. The film also marks the debut of Bollywood actors Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn.
