The renowned Kannada superstar Sai Kumar is all set to put on his uniform once again. The actor is preparing to play Agni IPS once again after 25 years. The film which still has a lot of fan following made the actor Sai Kumar a superstar.
“A little bit of Agni lies in me even today;” says the actor. According to the actor, the team plans to bring back the role this year.
“I was recently traveling across Andhra Pradesh to see the response for my latest Telugu release in cinema halls. While it is a father-son sentiment film, I had some action scenes in the end, to which I heard the crowd chant Agni, Agni. I spoke to Manju, thereafter, to explore the possibility of a return for the character,” explains Sai Kumar.
“We are looking at a story that suits the current scenario, with Agni in the present day. It has to be something compelling that will force Agni out of retirement. We plan on going on floors by year-end;” he added.
Sai Kumar is an Indian actor, dubbing artist, and television presenter who primarily works in Kannada and Telugu films. He has a few Tamil films thrown in for good measure as well. For his contributions in Kannada and Telugu movies, he has garnered two state Nandi Awards and three Filmfare Awards South.
