Salman Khan mourns demise of music director Vijay Patil, writes 'Condolences to the bereaved family'

The sad news of the demise of the famous music director Vijay Patil came in on Saturday. The director, who's popularly known as Laxman from Raam Laxman duo, passed away at his residence in Nagpur after suffering a stroke. As soon as the news of his demise came in, many Bollywood celebrities took to their social media to pay their condolences to the family.

Salman Khan, who worked with the music director in his films such as Maine Pyaar Kiya and Hum Aapke Hai Kaun, mourned his death on and wrote on Twitter.

Ram Laxman, music director of my successful films like maine pyaar kiya, patthar ke phool, hum saath saath hain, hum apke hain kaun has sadly passed away. May his soul rest in peace. Condolences to the bereaved family.

Lata Mangeshkar, who was one of the first to inform about his demise, wrote, "I got to know now about the demise of the very talented Raam Laxman ji (Vijay Patil). I am deeply saddened. He was a very good person. I have sung many songs composed by him which had become quite popular. My heartfelt condolences."

In a statement early this morning, Vijay Patil's son Amar had said, "He had taken a second dose of Covid-19 vaccine, Covishield, six days ago. There was no problem at that time... But when he came home he developed weakness. His parameters were dropping. Doctors were attending at home. He passed away at around 2 am on Saturday. He had a cardiac arrest.”
