In a rather sad incident this morning, one of the popular Bollywood music directors, Wajid Khan has passed away. He composed songs with his brother Sajid Khan under the name, Sajid-Wajid. Wajid was 42 and the reason for his death is being suspected due to the complications of the coronavirus. Sajid-Wajid were frequent collaborators with Superstar Salman Khan. Thus, it was a huge personal loss for the Dabangg actor. Salman has paid his last respects to Wajid Khan and prayed for his soul to rest in peace.
Salman took on social media to pay condolences to Wajid. He tweeted, "Wajid Vil always love, respect, remember n miss u as a person n ur talent, Love u n may your beautiful soul rest in peace."
Wajid started off his career with Salman Khan's Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya in 1998. His last composition was for Salman's new song Bhai Bhai which was out only a week ago. In a career spanning over two decades, Wajid Khan had composed tunes for many Salman Khan's films like Hello Brother, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Tere Naam, Partner, Wanted and All the three parts of Dabangg.
During various interviews, Wajid called Salman as his elder brother. They used to share a brotherly bond. During one of his interviews, Wajid revealed that Salman never rejected the songs they composed for him.
Apart from Salman, various other Bollywood actors and technicians have paid their condolences. Wajid Khan's funeral got held in Versova Kabrastan in Mumbai.
