Salman Khan's Radhe and Akshay Kumar's Laxxmi Bomb will no longer be hitting theatres on Eid 2020.

Breaking away from the annual tradition Salman Khan will not be releasing a new film this Eid. Khan who is known for his over-the-top performances has a huge fan following behind him. However as the fear around Coronavirus grows in the country, Salman Khan has postponed the release of his upcoming film. Salman was going to appear next in Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. Prabhudeva has directed the film. Salman officially postponed the film's release after the country went into lockdown.

Along with the rescheduling of Salman's next film, Akshay Kumar has also pushed back the release of his next film, Laxxmi Bomb. Laxxmi Bomb and Radhe were to hit theatres together on Eid. Originally the latest fast and furious film, Fast and Furious 9 also shared the same release slot. While Salman's Radhe was in its final days of shooting, Akshay finished shooting for Laxxmi Bomb a while ago.

Radhe which is a gangster flick earlier had to cancel shootings in Thailand and Azerbaijan amid Coronavirus scare. Now the film still has some scenes to shoot for. A source commented on the film's shooting and said, "Once the Coronavirus scare subsides, he would finish the remaining portions of Radhe and then jump onto the film’s promotion. There lies an uncertainty about the Eid 2020 release at the moment as cinema halls are shut and shooting has come to a stand-still. Only once they start shooting will a release date be decided."

Coronavirus or Covid-19 has affected more than millions of people around the globe. The virus has claimed over 20000 lives.
