Sam Reimi might be making a comeback into the genre of superhero films to direct Marvel's Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness.

Sam Reimi might be making a comeback into the genre of superhero films to direct Marvel's Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness.

Sam Reimi credited as one of the central directors who brought the genre of superhero films with Marvel's Spider-Man back in the year 2000. Reimi's adaptation of the famous wall-crawler got two next sequels which still continue to be many fans' favorite Spider-Man film.

 
In recent news, Sam Reimi might be making a comeback into the genre of superhero movies with the sequel to Doctor Strange. The director is currently in talks with Marvel Chief, Kevin Feige to direct Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness. This comes after Scott Derrickson quit from the director's chair for the sequel. Derrickson quoted creative differences for quitting but continues to be the executive producer for the film.
 
Reimi, known for his relatable and realistic approach to his films. An element that he brought especially well to the Spider-Man films starring Toby Maguire. If news about him directing the sequel to the Doctor Strange films gets confirmed it will be interesting to see how he takes on the fantastical and magical elements of the Doctor Strange movies.
 
If he does come back it will also be a gift to many of Reimi's fans who have long awaited their favorite director to direct another Marvel film for the big screen. Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness will also share the same universe as Disney Plus's WandaVision. Kevin Feige before spoke of how the show will affect the film.
