Samantha Ruth Prabhu has replied to claims that she addressed her ex-husband Naga Chaitanya's alleged relationship with Shobhita Dhulipala. Samantha responded to a story on Tuesday by using Twitter. She commented,
The story claims that after an old picture of the actors at a restaurant surfaced online, Samantha mentioned Chaitanya and Shobhita. Shobhita could be seen seated at a table behind Chaitanya as they posed for a photo with a chef. Apparently, the picture showed the couple in London.
In an interview with a news website called Great Andhra, Samantha was reportedly quoted by The Siasat Daily as saying, “I am not bothered as to who is in a relationship with whom. Those who do not know the value of love will be left in tears irrespective of the number of people they date. At least that girl should be happy. If he changes his behaviuor and looks after the girl without hurting her, it will be good for everyone."
Samantha married Naga Chaitanya in October 2017. In October 2021, the couple made their breakup public. On their separate social media profiles, they posted statements. Samantha wrote, “To all our well-wishers. After much deliberation and thought Chay and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths”.
She added, “We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship which we believe will always hold a special bond between us. We request our fans, well wishers and the media to support us during this difficult time and give us the privacy we need to move on. Thanking you for your support.”
Samantha and Varun Dhawan can be seen in Raj and DK's adaptation of Citadel for the Indian market. In addition, she will star alongside Dev Mohan in the Gunasekhar-directed film Shaakuntalam. The movie is slated to come out on April 14. The movie will be available in Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu. She will co-star with actor Vijay Deverakonda in the upcoming love drama Khusi.
