The director team Raj and DK, who are in charge of the Indian adaptation of the spy thriller series Citadel starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Varun Dhawan, wrote a comment praising Salmantha's most recent movie Shaakuntalam. They saw the Friday-released movie and declared it to be a "Samantha show all the way." Now that they have tweeted about her movie, the actor has responded to it.

Raj and DK praised the movie on Twitter, writing,
