Sanjana Sanghi Calls Katrina Kaif 'Torchbearer Of Action Films’

Sanjana Sanghi in a recent interview with a news portal got candid about her experience shooting the action sequence in her new movie ‘Rashtra Kavach OM.’ The young actress went on to describe growing up watching action movies with her friends and brothers. Sanjana said she could never fully connect with the glamorous and powerful on-screen persona of action movie heroines. She always questioned if these portrayals were real and could never invest herself in these action movies like her family could.

Sanjana was then asked who she considered a role model in the Bollywood industry when it came to -action. After some thought, she replied how there were very few full-fledged women characters whose storylines made them into action heroines. Sanjana went on to say how there was almost no character she could take inspiration but she had nothing but praise for Katrina Kaif. Sanjana said how she considered Katrina Kaif as the ‘torchbearer of action films in Bollywood. Sanjana also went on to say how she finds the growth in female characters from the typical damsel in distress and other stereotypical tropes into actual characters and praised actors Deepika Padukone, Vidya Balan, and Tappsee Pannu for advancing the cause of women in the industry.
