Sanjay Kapoor's daughter Shanaya Kapoor joins Karan Johar's DCA squad, the first film to release in July

Karan Johar's production house, Dharma Productions, has decided to collect a pool of young talents for their upcoming films. They have been announcing names of young actors who joined, what they are calling, 'DCA squad'. Now, the latest one to join their talent is none other than Shanaya Kapoor, who's the daughter of Maheep and Sanjay Kapoor. For those who don't know, Maheep Kapoor was one of the star wives in Netflix's show 'The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood wives' where we also saw Shanaya Kapoor prepping up for her Bollywood debut.

Maheep is a very close friend of Karan Johar and this might be the reason why the director-producer is all set to launch Shanaya in his films. He took to his social media to announce the same. "Welcome to the #DCASquad, @shanayakapoor! It’s going to be an unforgettable and exciting journey that begins with your first film with @DharmaMovies, this July," wrote Karan. To his announcement, Shanaya replied, "Woke up today with the most grateful heart! Here’s to a great journey ahead with the @dcatalent family. Excited to kickstart my FIRST FILM (ahhh!!) this July by @DharmaMovies, can’t wait for you all to see what we’re up to! Stay tuned! #DCASquad."
