Kollywood's famous comedian turned hero Santhanam’s 'Accused no.1' directed by debutant Johnson was well accepted by the audience and managed to pull most of the youth to the theaters. The film also starred Tara Alisha as the female lead.
Santhanam’s next film Dagaalty is written and directed by Vijay Anand. He became popular as Shankar’s former assistant. He has co-directed the film Thavam along with AR Sooriyan. The film is co-produced by SP Chowdary's 18 Reels and production house lead by Santhanam himself, Santhanam’s Handmade films. Yogi Babu and Rittika Sen also feature in significant roles in the film.
The film’s music was designed by Singer Vijay Narain who has films like Salaa Khadoos and Kaala to his credit. Dagaalty’s cinematography Deepak Kumar Padhy is the cinematographer of the film. TS Suresh and Shobi are in charge of editing and choreography. The making of this film ended in mid-September 2019 and the film is all set to release on January 24th worldwide.
The actor also has a number of films queued in this new year, Dagaalty by Vijay Anand, being his most delayed project, Server Sundaram and a yet-to-be-named film with director R.Kannan. There have been reports that he will get signed up for Dikkiloona as well.
