Recently, popular director Aanand L Rai has announced his next film Atrangi Re with Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush in the lead roles. We now hear that it is an amalgamation which features Sara in a dual role.
Initially, it got reported that Akshay is playing the role of Sara's elder brother while Dhanush is essaying the role of her love interest. According to the latest grapevine, the film will feature Sara in a dual role. She will have two parallel romantic tracks, one with Akshay Kumar in Bihar and another one with Dhanush in Madhurai. How these parallel love stories came together forms the rest of the story. However, the makers kept mum on this news. Lunch Box and Airlift fame Nimrat Kaur is also playing an important role in this movie.
Aanand L Rai and Himanshu Sharma have written Atrangi Re together. Oscar-winning music director AR Rahman is composing this music for this film. This is the second film in Rahman and Rai's collaboration after the 2013 film Raanjhanaa. The regular shooting of this film will start soon. It will hit the screens on 14th February 2021.
