Sarath Appani, who rose to fame in Angamaly Dairies, has acted in Tamil films such as Sandakozhi 2, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam and a few more. Now, he has signed another film which will be produced by Rich Multymedia. The film, which revolves around Jallikattu will mark the Kollywood debut of Vinod Guruvayoor, who has made Malayalam films such as Shikhamani and Sakalakashala. The untitled film will have the script written by Dr Jayaram Sivaram. The title and first-look of the film will be unveiled by the makers soon.
Speaking about the film, director Vinod said, " have great admiration for Tamil Nadu, its people, culture and the language. So, I had always wanted to make a movie in Tamil and the dream has come true with this project. Jallikattu is something that is an integral part of Tamil tradition. We had done intense research on the subject and the script work is completed. The film will be shot in and around Palani and the shoot will commence from May 15. Appani Sarath has already started preparing for the project in Palani and the rest of the members of the cast and crew are being finalised." Sarath said, " play a rural youngster named Maada, whose life revolves around bulls. Once a year, he goes for Jallikattu."
