Scarlett Johansson reveals insight over Black Widow's death in Avengers: Endgame.

Scarlett Johansson is soon to make a return as the iconic Black Widow in her solo film. However, the film is set to take place between the events of Captain America's Civil War and Avengers Endgame. Earlier Scarlett Johansson's role as Natasha Romanoff came to an end when she sacrifices herself for the soul stone in Avengers: Endgame.

Fans of the character were shattered by their favorite superhero's death. Marvel soon reciprocated even if a little late by giving the character her solo film. Now Johansson has shed some light over the initial way that her character was going to die in Avengers: Endgame.

She said that she was going to die in an ambush by an "army of Dementor-type creatures." She later added saying, "Parents will never forgive us for how these creatures look.”

Thankfully the directors Joe and Antony Russo agreed with Scarlett Johansson. The directors thought that the scene looked too jarring. Another comment came in an interview given by Markus to Huffington Post. He said, "We had to take two people up there who love each other and we know that Clint [Renner] and Natasha [Johansson] have had a very long relationship that they would qualify, and then once we brought them up there it became a question of who is at the end of their story, because we wanted — when we were ‘killing people’ or ending their run — we wanted to make sure that they had closure, that there was appropriateness to the death when it happened so that it would feel heroic and not tragic.”
