Anant Nag a veteran actor in Kannada cinema who portrayed the role of Alzheimer’s patient in Hemant Rao's first directorial titled Godhi Banna Sadharna Mykattu. Now he is coming up with another typical character in the movie Kavaludaari directed by Hemant Rao. He will be seen in the role Muttana an army chief and this veteran actor wants to dedicate this film to every person who is the relative army and police forces. During my childhood, I was in NCC led a very strict life. In actual, I had to be in the Army but landed myself in cinema.
I feel Hemant is one of his kind. The way he tells the story is just mind-blowing. He comes up with the correct mixture of emotions in the story and more importantly the mentation he has is captivating for me. Not only myself every character in this film has its own importance, in that way he had designed the story. He is a very passionate storyteller which indeed inspires me as an actor to act well.
For every newcomer or star director that's his wish to work with an actor like Anant Nag at least once in his lifetime. Anant Nag is very stubborn in choosing the scripts. He says Script is primary then Myself hitching with the role is paramount for me. I sometimes can't connect with the directors who come up with a line or skimpy description. I would love to listen to the entire script. Then I can be engaged in the role I will be playing. Also, I love to associate with my role mentally then I can go deep into the role which helps me in performing well in front of the camera.
I really share a special bond with Powerstar Puneeth Rajkumar. When I played the role Narada in the movie Bhakta Prahlada, Puneeth used to come to me and I used to carry him and play with him on the film sets. I know him personally, I am really glad that he created his own mark in Kannada cinema. When Puneeth and his wife came up with the project I immediately okayed the project without any hesitation.
