Director and politician Seeman has filed a complaint against Linguamy at the South Indian Writers Association. He accused Lingusamy of plagiarism charges. Back in 2013, Lingusamy had written a story, which was similar to Seeman's story. In 2013 Lingusamy was supposed to make the film with Suriya. Seeman then approached the film bodies asking Lingusamy to stop the shoot. However, the issue was settled in an amicable meet. Lingusamy promised Seeman that his film with Suriya will have a new script and went on to make Anjaan. However, Anjaan became a colossal failure.
In their final verdict, Vikraman and RK Selvamani of the committee said that Seeman and Lingusamy's scripts are different scripts with similar ideas. Recently, Lingusamy announced his Tamil and Telugu bilingual film with Ram Pothineni. After getting to know about their film, Seeman has fled a complaint against Lingusamy. It is to be seen if Lingusamy's script is the same as Seeman's. Pagalavan was supposed to make by Seeman with actor Vijay. But for some reason, the film did not get materialized. Ram Pothineni's film with Lingusamy will go on floors on July 12. Since the issue was settled long back, it is to be seen if they will reopen the complaint again.
