The coronavirus pandemic has affected the film industry a lot. All the releases got postponed, production is on halt and the theaters got shut. The careers of many actors and actresses also got affected by this pandemic. One such actress is Seerat Kapoor. Two of her films, Krishna and his Leelas, and Maa Vintha Gaadha Vinuma were due for the release before the outbreak of COVID-19. Now, they are lying under cans. The actress stated that one of these two films will have a direct release on an OTT platform. However, Seerat didn't reveal which of the two is that movie.
Speaking in a recent interview, Seerat said that one of the filmmakers of her two upcoming films is looking for a direct digital release. She stated that we need to adapt to the change of medium in these tough situations. Seerat added that she cannot reveal the name of the film as the talks are still going on. The makers will announce the details once they sign the pact with an OTT platform.
Krishna and his Leelas are being directed by Kshanam fame Ravikanth Perupu. Siddhu Jonnalagadda is playing the lead hero in it. Shraddha Srinath and Shalini Vadnikatti played the other female lead roles, along with Seerat, in this movie. The film was originally slated for the release at the end of April. On the flip side, Maa Vintha Gaadha also stars Siddhu Jonnalagadda as the lead hero. This film is being directed by Aditya Mandala. We have to see which of these two films is opting for a digital release.
