Shahid Kapoor gets the same trainer for his film 'Jersey' as Rohit Sharma

There seem to be many sports biopics coming up this year such as Panga by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, Rashmi Rocket, 83 by Kabir Khan among many others. Shahid Kapoor seems to be in on this as well. He is working on the Telugu remake of the film named Jersey. He will be playing a cricketer. He has already started shooting. The markers of the film have booked a special trainer for Kapoor. He is trained by the same trainer Dinesh Lad as Rohit Sharma. The hiring of this trainer only spells how serious the team is and only want authentic work.

Gowtam Tinnanuri, the director, has left no stones unturned. They have hired a whole team including certified trainers and fitness experts. Tinnanuri himself was being trained under State-level Ranji Trophy coach. Reports say that Kapoor is training hard to work on his batting movies. He is putting in all efforts to fit in his character. He has learned techniques like footwork and stroke play.

Extensive training for sports biopics is nothing new. Celebrities like Farhan Akhtar trained a lot and for months for Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (2013). Priyanka Chopra also gave in her all for Mary Kom (2014). So it is only given that Kapoor is being trained so much.

The shooting has begun and Kapoor is still under training. They are shooting in Chandigarh, Haryana. Much of the shooting is still left. The whole team is working day and night. It will release on 28 August.

It stars Mrunal Thakur, Pankaj Kapoor, Sudhanshu Pandey, Sudhanshu Pandey among others. The original Telugu film got 8.6 on IMBd. Will the remake be as good??
