Shahid Kapoor Responds To Fans Dancing To The Song Mauja From Jab We Met; Says It Is Too Special

Jab We Met (2007) by Imtiaz Ali is back in theatres as a part of a small romance film festival. When the song Mauja Mauja appeared on the screen, fans got up and danced in the aisle and in their seats. Shahid Kapoor, the lead actor, wrote "too special" on Twitter after watching a video of fans dancing in the theatre.

In the video, young fans can be seen dancing in the theatre aisles and in their seats while listening to Mauja Hi Mauja. Mika Singh and Abrar ul Haq sang the song. Irshad Kamil wrote the song and Pritam Chakraborty composed the dance sequence. Imtiaz Ali wrote and directed the film, and he also received the Filmfare Award for Best Dialogues.
 
In the 2007 movie, Shahid starred opposite Kareena Kapoor. He portrayed Aditya, a reserved businessman who, following a breakup, considered taking his own life. Aditya then encountered the lively Geet, who helped him shift his perspective on life. The actors had already been paired off four times. Despite dating while the movie was being filmed, they split up before the movie's release. The director originally wanted to cast Preity Zinta and Bobby Deol in the love story.
 
Tarun Arora, Saumya Tandon, Dara Singh, and Pavan Malhotra costarred in the 2007 movie Jab We Met, which was released in theatres on October 26. Shahid was nominated for Best Actor, while Kareena took home the Filmfare Award for Best Actress. Tamil and Telugu versions of the Hindi film were later developed.
 
For Valentine's Day, several more movies were rereleased in theatres. It included Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), Titanic (1997), Minnale (2001), Premam (2015), Tamasha (2015), and Me Before You (2016). The love stories are currently screening in theatres till February 16.
