The Indian edition of Rolling Stone magazine featured independent artists Dhee and Shan Vincent De Paul on the cover. The team shared the cover page on Twitter crediting the singers for the two songs Enjoy Enjaami and Neeye Oli respectively. Soon, netizens and director Pa Ranjith called out rapper Arivu for not giving him credit for the two songs for which he had written the lyrics. Shan says that the article in the magazine was about his and Dhee's upcoming independent albums on Maajja. It was Rolling Stone's wrongly worded tweet that gave an impression that the article was about the two singers sidelining Arivu's work.

 
In his statement, he lashed out at Pa Ranjith, who questioned Rolling Stone and Maajja. He wrote,
