The most recent film from well-known Tamil filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj was "Mahaan". With Chiyaan Vikram in the lead, it was well received upon its direct OTT release. As it was previously reported, Karthik Subbaraj worked with director Shankar to develop the story for "RC 15". RC 15 is Shankar's next film starring Ram Charan. Karthik Subbaraj recently shared his happiness about working with filmmaker Shankar in an interview with a youtube channel.
He also revealed the director's confidential project. During their talk, the actor acknowledged that Shankar is currently in the pre-production stage of a movie based on the Velpari novel. The primary stars of the movie have not yet been confirmed, according to the actor. Earlier reports said that Suriya will be playing a major role in Shankar's adaptation of the Velpari novel. The most recent information suggests that Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh might act in the film. It's important to note that Shankar had previously announced 'Anniyan 2' with Ranveer Singh. But the production of the movie was halted after the producer of the first movie sued Shankar for developing the sequel. There is therefore a probability that Ranveer Singh and Shankar would collaborate on the Velpari novel.
The last phase of filming for "RC 15," which Shankar has not yet completed. In the meantime, Shankar is concurrently working on his other movie, "Indian 2," which features Kamal Haasan in the major role.
