A judge on Wednesday sentenced accused Sheezan Khan to two days in police custody as part of a new development in the Tunisha Sharma death case. Sheezan will now spend an additional two days in police custody, under the Vasai Court's ruling. He will be held by the police into Friday. Sheezan was placed in police custody for four days on Sunday by a Vasai, Maharashtra, court. On the set of her ongoing television programme Alibaba - Dastaan-e-Kabul on Saturday, Tunisha was discovered dead.
Sheezan, her ex-boyfriend and fellow cast member from the show, was detained on suspicion of aiding suicide the following day. The police reported that Sheezan and Tunisha had split up 15 days before to her passing.
At the Mira Road cemetery grounds in Mumbai on Tuesday, Tunisha, 20, was offered a tearful farewell by her family, friends and fans. Several celebrities attended Tunisha's burial, including Vishal Jethwa, Ashnoor Kaur and Avneet Kaur.
Sheezan's WhatsApp conversations and recordings were obtained by the Waliv Police on Wednesday. The police claimed that they had not discovered anything inappropriate in the two's text messages. It stated that it had instead discovered frequent discussions about diet and wellbeing.
The police added that they will question Tunisha's family. Police will quiz the family about her anxiety problem. It will also re-record her mother's statement. According to the police, it has not yet been able to access Tunisha's cellphone. Police stated that it has not yet been able to unlock it.
The police continued by quoting Sheezan as saying that he ended his relationship with the deceased actor. The reason recorded is that he wanted to "concentrate on his work." The "secret girlfriend" of Sheezan has also been identified by the Waliv police. The police will interview her and record her statement shortly.
The Waliv Police reported that they had taken the statements of 18 people in relation to Tunisha's killing. Police also called Parth, her co-star, to record his confession a second time.
