Actress Shefali Shah recently shared a personal experience on Instagram about being judged based on her appearance. In a detailed caption accompanying a photo of herself taking a nap on a flight, Shah explained how an air hostess initially did not recognize her. She expressed that she does not strive to look perfect all the time but prefers to be authentic.

However, Shah was unsure if the air hostess's words were meant to be appreciative, compassionate, or sympathetic. She sensed a seed of doubt planted in her mind by the word "but," and wondered if the air hostess was sorry for her. Shah's appetite disappeared, and she sat with her coffee, contemplating the air hostess's comments.
Shah added that this was not the first time she faced such comments about her appearance. Some people have been judgmental and even reprimanding, making Shah feel as though she broke their trust for looking like herself. Shah shared the most epic comment she received, which was when someone said, "T.V pe toh achi lagti hai" (You look good on TV). Shah found the comment amusing and realized that she is not perfect but rather REAL.
