Iravin Nizhal, directed by R Parthiban, is Asia’s first non-linear single-shot film. The film stars Shiva Pandian, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Robo Shankar, Priyanka Ruth, Brigida Saga and R Parthiban in the lead roles.
R Parthiban's single-shot non-linear film 'Iravin Nizhal' is gaining positive feedback from critics. The film is in the Asia Book of Records and the India Book of Records as the first Asian non-linear single-shot film. It is billed as the world's first non-linear one-shot film. 'Iravin Nizhal' actor Shiva Pandian discussed the making of the one-of-a-kind film in a recent interview.
Shiva Pandian portrayed a cop in 'Iravin Nizhal' says, "Parthiban sir is a fantastic director who has worked tirelessly on 'Iravin Nizhal.' A single shot was not easy to create since it required outstanding coordination and cooperation from everyone involved, from the lightmen to the artists. Parthiban sir's vision and focus inspire me."
"Through my participation as a cop was brief, it was vital," Shiva Pandian said of his job. And I am really happy to have had the opportunity to work on this picture."
"Iravin Nizhal" required 90 days of practice and 23 retakes! There were several roadblocks. I recall the crane being stuck with barely three minutes of filming remaining, forcing us to start over. The favorable response is our reward for our efforts," he said.
