Shriya Saran got married to Russian-based entrepreneur Andrei Koscheev in a hush-hush ceremony in 2018. Only close friends and family members attended the wedding. Soon after the wedding, Shriya Saran relocated to Barcelona where her husband Andrei Koscheev lived. She visited India whenever she had work in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi films. She spent several lockdowns in Barcelona and relocated to India last month. The couple has to look for new houses in Mumbai. Often, Shriya and Andrei share videos from their house-hunting adventures.
In an interview with Times of India, Shriya Saran said, "I’ve been wanting to get back to work and that required me to come back to India. Andrei, too, wanted to experience the culture here. He loves India and wants to explore it further. So we decided to move to Mumbai. My mom is thrilled to have me back home. Having lived in Mumbai for many years, I’ve always loved the way Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated and I always wanted Andrei to experience that. During this time, it doesn’t matter which religion you belong to and where you come from — everyone comes together to celebrate. For the next 12 days, it’s going to be a carnival, and I can’t wait to experience it with Andrei."
