Speaking in a recent interview, Shruti Haasan said that working on the craft is important for her than finding a space in Bollywood. She has been working in the entertainment industry for the last 10 years and is happy working in any Indian film irrespective of the language. Shruti wondered why people consider South Indian films lesser than Bollywood movies. She says that art is an art, at the end of the day. She asked why people always discriminate and differentiate.

Shruti Haasan is also a well-known singer and a songwriter. She says that as a singer whether she sings for a south-Indian film or a Hindi film, she feels equally happy because she is singing.

Shruti Haasan made her debut with 2009 film Luck. She is currently working on Tamil film Laabam with Vijay Sethupathi and Telugu movie Krack with Ravi Teja.
