Shruti Haasan has been missing in action for about a year as she concentrated on his musical career. She made frequent trips to London and performed her own compositions at several cafes in the country. Now, the actress is back to India in the hope of doing quality films.
She is a part of Vijay Sethupathi's upcoming Tamil film titled Laabam. The film, directed by SP Jananathan has tipped to be a one of a kind venture in Kollywood. Reports suggest that she has a solid role to play in the film that redefines feminism.
In a piece of surprising news, Shruti is now roped into dub for the famous animated character Elsa in the Tamil version of English film, Frozen 2. Nithya Menen and Priyanka Chopra got finalized to dub in Telugu and Hindi versions of the film.
Speaking about the opportunity, Shruti said, "I absolutely adore the movie Frozen and the bond shown between sisters Elsa and Anna are purely heart-warming. Being the elder sister, I completely resonate with Elsa’s feelings towards Anna and will do the same for my sister. Elsa is every girl’s role model and I am elated to lend my voice and get the opportunity to sing for Elsa’s character in Tamil. In addition to their gripping and engaging stories, songs in such animated movies hold a very special place in the hearts of fans and look forward to presenting the sequel to my fans and my Tamil audiences.”
