Rumours of Shruti Haasan starring in Pawan Kalyan's Vakeel Saab were making rounds in the industry. Reports said that Shruti Haasan will be taking on the role of Pawan Kalyan's wife. In a recent interview, the actress has denied the rumour.
Haasan spoke to Time of India and stated that she will not be a part of the film. She said, “It was something that just passed by. It wasn’t concrete. It’s really an elaboration of a rumour. So, I wouldn’t like to talk about it."
The actress has made it clear that she is working on the Telugu film Krack. She is all set to star opposite actor Ravi Teja in the film. She will also star in the upcoming Tamil film Laabam. The film stars Vijay Sethupathi as the male lead.
Vakeel Saab is a remake of the Bollywood hit film Pink. Pawan Kalyan will be taking on Amitabh Bachchan's role from the original. Venu Sriram is directing the film. Dil Raju is producing the film under his banner Sri Venkateswara Creations. In addition to Pawan Kalyan, the cast includes actors Anjali, Nivetha Thomas, Ananya Nagalla and Prakash Raj. Vakeel Saab is crucial for Pawan Kalyan as it is her comeback film. This is the first film he will appear in after his two-year break. The actor had stayed away from the silver screen due to his political commitments.
