It is already known that Venkatesh is remaking recent Tamil blockbuster Asuran into Telugu. Titled as Narappa, the shoot of this film began in the Ananthapur region yesterday morning. The original version featured Dhanush in the lead role. Last night, on the eve of shoot's launch, Narappa makers have released the first look posters of the film.
The posters featured Venkatesh in the same getup sported by Dhanush in the original. Since then, Tamil fans have started trolling on social media saying that Dhanush suited way better for that role. Angered by this, Telugu Twitterati counter-attacked on Tamil fans. This has become a huge Twitter-fight in a matter of hours and the hashtags #TeluguRealHeroes and #UnrivalledTamilActors started trending on the platform. With the advent of social media, the unnecessary comparisons of remake films became more prevalent and eventually turning out to be heavy fan wars.
Fed up with this, actor Siddharth tweeted, "Today's #Paithyam challenge in South Indian fans clashing trends is #UnrivalledTamilActors vs #TeluguRealHeroes. What a waste of the internet! Our country really needs these youngsters to do more with their lives, and their internet data!"
Whatever Siddharth said was absolutely true and it is high time that the youngsters stop wasting their time on these silly wars.
