Sidharth Malhotra Believes He Now Has A Voice As A Filmmaker
Sidharth Malhotra, the popular Bollywood actor, has been transparent about his career path and now feels that he has a voice as a working actor. Look at what he actually said.
Sidharth Malhotra is one of Bollywood's most brilliant performers. He made his acting debut in the 2012 movie Student of the Year. Since then, he has given a lot of outstanding performances in movies like Kapoor and Sons and Shershaah, to mention a couple. With a career lasting more than ten years, he has been candid about his lovely journey in the field and what he plans to do in the future.
The Shershaah actor revealed that during the past ten years, he has improved as a performer and a director. Sidharth Malhotra stated, “I feel the filmmaker in me has grown. The actor in me has learned so much. I feel I finally have a voice. I can voice my personality or my viewpoints now much better in the filmmaking language. Maybe because I was an assistant director, I have that ‘keeda’ (bug) in me to be creatively involved in other aspects.”
The Thank God actor also recognizes what success really means. “I realized that the true value for any actor is when his scenes or films are remembered beyond time. When people meet me now, they would tell me a scene from Hasee Toh Phasee or Kapoor and Sons, that is the true wealth. The number and the business aspect kind of fizzles out over the years. The true test for any actor is how many people remember your work.”
The next time audiences will see Malhotra is in the lead role in the movie Mission Majnu, which also stars Rashmika Mandanna. His upcoming appearance is in Yodha from Dharma Productions. Malhotra will also star in Rohit Shetty's online series Indian Police Force, which will be available on Amazon Prime Video.
