Due to the current situation of the crisis, the entertainment industry is facing the side effects in the form of unemployment and financial setback. Sidharth Malhotra is the latest messiah for almost 200 dancers of the industry as he extends his helping hand to them. After Bosco Martis, Lizelle and Remo D'Souza helped the dancers, Sidharth is the latest one to help them. Raj, who's one of the dancers who received help, told a leading daily, "Sidharth Malhotra has extended help to 200 dancers from our team. After our video went viral he got to know and he reached out to us. His manager connected with us and we coordinated. He directly got the money transferred into our accounts.”
He further added, "We were to shoot a song for ‘Brahmastra’ with a lot of dancers so that loss is there as the song was never shot. I don’t know when it will be shot now and how it will be done because that song had a lot of dancers.”
Talking further about the problems faced by the dancers, he said that there are no alternative career options for them. "Dancers will probably be the last ones to get jobs because people may not shoot songs with many people. Probably four-five months more or till the vaccine comes, I don’t think there is any solution currently. Dancers are taking up alternate jobs too. Many of them have travelled to their hometowns. Our industry was closed from March 19, before the lockdown was announced. So we told them to go to their native place. People are going now too as it is difficult to survive here, pay rent,” concluded Raj.
