Simbu and controversies are inseparable. Recently, he was in the news when he failed to co-operate with producer Suresh Kamatchi for the shooting of Maanadu. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the film was rumored to be a political satire with Simbu essaying the lead role. The actor might start shooting for his film soon.

Earlier, we had reported that Simbu will feature in an extended cameo in Hansika Motwani’s 50th film Maha. Recently, the makers unveiled the film’s poster featuring Simbu in it. Looking at the poster, he might essay the role of a pilot in the film. 
Simbu and Hansika Motwani were dating for over a year and called it quits due to irreconcilable differences. In 2018, Hansika announced that she is sharing screen space with Simbu and wrote, “Since the buzz is crazy and the news is leaked out way before time. I and #STR are back in #MAHA (sic).”
Maha, directed by UR Jameel, is produced by Mathiazhagan. The film has Srikanth, Thambi Ramaiah, Karunakaran, Nasser, Jayaprakash and Chaya Singh in supporting roles.
