Simbu's Maanadu single release postponed

Silambarasan aka Simbu is waiting for the release of his upcoming film Maanadu, which is directed by Venkat Prabhu. The film's dubbing works began recently and is progressing at a brisk pace. As part of the film's promotions, the first single from Maanadu was slated to release on Ramzan. However, the single release has now been postponed after Venkat Prabhu's mother Manimegalai Ganagai Amaren's untimely demise. After a brief illness, Venkat Prabhu and Premgi Amaren's mother Manimegalai passed away on May 9 at around 11.30 pm at Kauvery hospital in Chennai.

Since Venkat Prabhu's family is feeling with the loss of Manimegalai Gangai Amaren, the producer of Maanadu, Suresh Kamatchi announced that the film's single release has been postponed to a later date. Announcing the same, Suresh Kamatchi said that the team will announce the release of the first single later. He also added that we need to take part in the grief of Venkat Prabhu and his family. Maanadu is tipped to be a political satire featuring Kalyani Priyadarshan, SJ Suryah, Manoj Bharathiraja and Karunakaran in lead roles
