Anushka Shetty is always the right choice for female centric films and when it is Singeetham Srinivasa Rao who's calling the shots, it certainly becomes a must-watch film.

 Singeetham Srinivasa Rao is on a plan to do a biopic with star actress Anushka Shetty.

Veteran filmmaker Singeetham Srinivasa Rao is best known for his movies like Adithya 369, Bhairava Dweepam and Pushpaka Vimanam. His last directorial was 2013 film, Welcome Obama. After a gap of seven years, Singeetham is planning to make a comeback with a biopic. The legendary director is looking forward to making a film on the life of popular Carnatic singer Bangalore Nagarathnamma. Apparently star actress Anushka Shetty to essay the lead role in this film.

 
Nagarathnamma was also a social activist who fought for the equal rights of women. Singeetham Srinivasa Rao felt that her story will be relevant for the present generation. Thus he decided to make it as a future film. The director felt Anushka will be the apt choice for this story. Currently, the talks are going on and an official announcement will get announced once the Arundhati actress signs the dotted lines.
 
TG Vishwaprasad will bankroll the project under the banner People Media Factory. Popular writer Sai Madhav Burra is currently working on this script and is penning the dialogues for this. This film will go on floors in the latter half of this year.
 
Meanwhile, Anushka is currently promoting her next film Nishabdham. This film was originally slated for the worldwide release on April 2nd, but now it got postponed due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. The new release date will be out soon. Nishabdam features Madhavan, Anjali, Shalini Pandey, Subbha Raju and Srinivas Avasarala in the other pivotal characters. The film is being directed by Hemanth Madhukar.
